Sadly I don't know if they ever will - I doubt it in fact. Now if Line 6 were to make Helix interact with the older variaxes, I'd be looking for stuff to sell so I could upgrade.
#BIAS FX VS BIAS FX PROFESSIONAL PATCH#
I love Bias, but for me the patch changing interaction between Variax (for me 300 and 600 tranplants), and HD500 has been too good to replace the HD500 with something without that interaction. Most live gigs though will use Helix only. S-Gear mod, delay and reverb are the best I've ever heard. But I'll have it configured to use as an audio/MIDI interface to MainStage with S-Gear and BIAS for additional options, using Helix for some front of the amp effects. It is designed from the ground up with no-compromise mindset and focus on effects quality, it comes with all the greatest and latest algorithms from our audio signal processing. It allows you to build virtual pedalboards, import BIAS Amp Match profiles into dual signal path, share and download presets on ToneCloud, and record + re-amp with a state-of-the-art guitar amp and effects for your studio. Briandandrig said: Chain effects on your favourite I prefer BIAS FX + BIAS Amp, because I like to tweak things under the hood. Human ears have a tendency to interpret louder as better. I've preordered Helix mostly because 1) I've been loyal to Line6 for many years, not stopping now, 2) this unit looks like its been really well designed inside and out, 3) I'm committed to my Variax 700 Acoustic. 1- What is BIAS FX BIAS FX is the world’s first cross-platform guitar effects processor. I have Amplitube with a bunch of in app purchases, Bias FX with all of them, and Flying Haggis. However BIAS desktop is pricy and not ready for prime time - it doesn't have a standalone app, has no MIDI control, and doesn't expose any parameters to your DAW for automation. It sounds better to me on the desktop, and is quite flexible with the effects and utilization of BIAS to design your own amps.
#BIAS FX VS BIAS FX PROFESSIONAL PRO#
BIAS FX on an iPad doesn't compare in terms of tones, I don't think it can compete with an HD500X yet. Pro Pedals So I’m looking at Bias FX 2 and the price for Standard is looking solid (there’s a sale currently), but I’m not seeing any specific list that mentions what pedals come in Standard or Pro and I’d hate to buy Standard just to see that 2 of the pedals I really want are in Pro. My S-Gear (sounds and feels so good that I'm tempted. On PC, I use Gig Performer as a VST host.I tend to agree with you regarding using a computer with USB or FireWire cables, or relying on Wifi or Bluetooth communication between iPad and MainStage/Logic using Logic Remote or similar setups. With both platforms, I recommend running a "helper" program to allow for increased MIDI functionality. The sounds are good, and are essentially clones of PC/Mac versions. If I was just running Bias FX, I could easily do it with just my iPad.
#BIAS FX VS BIAS FX PROFESSIONAL PC#
This is only because i run a more complication MIDI rig, and the PC platform is better at that, as well as being able to run both guitar systems on the same rig. But frequently use the iOS version for practice and rehearsal. I currently use the PC version (along with AmpliTube) for live use. (I'm waiting to use Bias FX2 in live situations until they work some of the bugs out and increase the stability.) Although there are some slight tonal differences between the 2 platforms, I attribute most of that to the different interfaces that I use. And I've used both Bias FX (PC) and the iOS version in live situations. I have Bias FX (PC), Bias FX2 (PC), as well as Bias FX for iOS.
